The Wallaceburg Chamber of Commerce acknowledges that the land on which we operate is part of the historic territory covered by Treaty #2, the McKee Purchase Treaty of 1790. At that time, this land was inhabited and stewarded by the Three Fires Confederacy—the Odawa, Potawatomi, and Ojibwe—as well as the Lunaapeew Peoples.

Today, Wallaceburg is located near the unceded territory of the Bkejwanong Walpole Island First Nation and continues to be home to diverse First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples. We recognize the enduring presence, culture, and contributions of these communities and acknowledge our collective responsibility to respect and care for the land and water we share.

As a Chamber, we are committed to bridging opportunities for local businesses and the community while honoring and respecting the Indigenous Peoples whose stewardship and traditions have shaped this land.
