Jamie Nicholson (Pet Valu)
Jamie Nicholson is the store manager of Pet Valu on 30 McNaughton Ave, Wallaceburg Ontario. As a pet speciality retail store, they are dedicated to providing families with food and supplies for all of their pet needs. They also make an effort to help local pets in need through donation drives and their instore food bank. Jamie has taken a for-profit business and connected it with the community by making every person and their 4 legged friends that walk through their doors, feel like it is their store. Since taking over the store in April 2019, they have raised over $23000 in pet food donations to help support our community and rescues. Since January 2020, over $13000 of the $23000 has been raised to help support the Wallaceburg and Walpole Community in pet food donations. This year they have surpassed their previously received donations. COVID-19 hit a lot of families hard and many were not able to feed their pets, but with the food donations they received, they were able to help take some pressure off of many of our communities pet parents.
