President’s Report

Carmen McGregor reported on the minutes from the Executive meeting (included in board packages). Carmen also reported on the joint meeting with the BIA (included in board packages). It was a very positive meeting and many ideas came out of it. It was suggested to create a combined committee with 2 members from each board sitting on that committee.

Treasurer’s Report

Matt Montague gave the Treasurer’s report (included in package). There is nothing out of the ordinary to report on.

Committee Reports

  • Marketing/Membership Committee: Ron Laroche reported that there was no Marketing meeting due to the special meeting regarding the Community and Member Fair. There was discussion regarding the signs and it was moved to have Ron get quotes for completing the advertising spaces on the signs. Finalization is anticipated shortly.
  • Special Events Committee: Carmen McGregor reported on the Community after 5 events; all are booked for 2012. The Community and Member Fair is scheduled for October 4 at the Legion.
  • Nominations Committee: Carmen McGregor reported on the Nominations Summary (included in board package). The summary needs to be amended to include Bob Taylor, Kelly Hetherington, Greg Hetherington, and Ron Laroche as returning to the board next term. Carmen also took a look at the By-laws and the wording needs to be changed for the term of the Executive committee.
